They can be filled with a small amount of oil, and they do come with 3 different types of springs, silver (solft), black (medium) and gold (hard). Spring tension can additionally adjusted with a screw on the shock. Quality of shocks is very good. However, screws and balllinks delivered with the shocks need a little bit of oil or WD40, they arrived rusty (not a big deal). If you are searching for tiny shocks, good looking, with a lot of possibilities for adjustments, those are the shocks for you! good shock absorbers. haven’t put them on my truck yet but just from opening the package they seem very nice for your money! comes with 8 different style springs and a few other parts like screws and spacers. I haven opened them but they appear to be oil filled. also shipped very fast
