skipweasel They'resold as 4000mAh because high values sell. Last time I looked there's no such thing as 4000mAh 18650 cells - so it's a lie.

skipweasel Ifyou let a lithium (or many other sorts) battery go completely flat it can lose capacity, or be totally trashed by being driven backwards by the other cells in the stack. A protected cell has a small thin circuit board stuck on the end which controls charging and discharging to reduce the chances of damage. The drawback can be they're a bit more fragile and a tiny bit longer. Most times you can get away with the change in length, but not always.
