Q: Is the description or the photos wrong? Description says "This breakout board has the chip itself, a 3.3V regulator with 10uF bypass capacitors and level shifting circuitry." which is absolutely not shown in the photos.

Trebuchet No. there is NOT a 3.3V regulator nor are there any level shifting circuitry. This is a 3.3V device only. Running it on 5V will fry it. I know I did this. So either use a 3.3 volt controller or add your own level shifting circuit.
