Q: Can it do flips?

BG105515363 Itdefinitely will but I'd probably want some spare parts ready to go unless you're an expert flipper.

BG105515363 Thisis my favourite of the 5 Wltoys RC cars we own. Pick of the bunch in terms of price point, fun and coming out of crashes unscathed given it's front and rear bumper.

Q: wil it run good on a 3s lipo?

BG105515363 Theseare renowned for quickly overheating and burning ESC's on 3S- I'd say don't go there.

A cool looking dune/desert buggy that cranks out the speed and does some great bashing with slightly better clearance than the sleeker 124019 that's more designed for speedy flat (ish) surfaces. I don't abuse my cars so this hasn't been over big jumps but it gets airborne, rips through rock, sticks, dust and grass without a problem. Before running, I greased everything, dropped oil on motor bearings, tightened wheels and, on it's first run, just kept checking screws etc to make sure everything was nice and tight. It goes like it's being chased by something scary and at this price, with cheap replacement parts, it's been an inexpensive hoot for my daughter and I. I'm sure if you hit something just right at the right speed, the laws of physics will apply themselves fully and something will break, but so far, nothing has and it's fairly ripped round some pretty rough terrain and taken some sudden stop knocks, probably not at full speed. My daughter and I both practiced braking technique in an open area so we could learn to quickly pull this thing to a stop or at least slow it before it smacked into something and that front bumper and hood covering the front shocks definitely offer fair protection that you don't get on the 124019 or 144001, both of which we own and drive. I also own a 1/10 Arrma Vorteks which is in a different price range and quality level but with that context and comparison, I solidly recommend this as an entry level fun RC car that will keep you smiling. Make sure you grease the diffs, gearbox and gearing as they run smoother, more quietly and will last longer. Worth cleaning and swapping grease regularly too as none of the gears are actually fully sealed and after a while (if you're in dusty, dirty terrain) the grease starts to get grainy and grindy and needs replacement before it become counter productive and acts as an abrasive paste.

Good replacement like for like on the skeleton alloy version of this vehicle that sells in Australia. I had to order these because the stock screws that basically pin the wheel to this axle stub are made from rubbish metal and are super thin and one snapped off inside the plastic axle and another bent dramatically and would've snapped within a few more runs. I replaced the stock screws with slightly larger stainless steel screws and washers to spread the load on the wheel hub and that's stopped any breakages. These Kyamrc cars are OK if you get them at a discount but they have a weird mix of quality components (like an alloy body and great bumpers, 4WD and metal drive shaft) and toy standard stuff (friction shocks, plastic diffs and diff cups and rubbish connections between wheels and axles). I got mine cheap but have had to get a few replacement parts and have upgraded a few connection points by drilling screws through poor plastic components. I also extended the fixing point of the shocks as the drive shafts are at a wickedly sharp angle as stock and that's not god on plastic diff cups. Runs smoother now. I've also used some silicone grease in diffs just to pack them a bit tighter as they're all plastic. Generally thought, we've smashed through some tough terrain without a problem but I literally hit a chair leg at the wrong angle and smashed a shock absorber. If you hit front on to the bumper, they bounce off anything- I've hit solid flat surfaces front on so hard it's dented the alloy body and bounced the car 180 degrees, but not actually broken anything. Just luck of the draw on what component hits first!
