Fallon It will show you all the hotspots of your PV panels. The best use for it would be to check the wiring connections and cable temperature looking for faults and over heating. If you want to measure output and voltage, then no, this is the wrong tool. Should you be looking for just the temperature of the face of the panels, then an IR thermometer might be appropriate.
