Петровић Itis worse with a display with an orange or purple color, but it doesn't bother me. It was tested on a 2.5km hilly section with a lot of obstacles in between and it worked perfectly.

Stargater53 I ordered this radio and found it to be beautiful, reliable and easy to operate. But all things being as they are, the downside of this radio is its pathetic 1800mAh battery. Really? It's a large radio and yet it has the battery capacity of a pocket-sized Baofeng. It should, at this size, have a 2200mAh battery at the least! At this price, you are much better off buying a Baofeng BF-H6. It outputs more than 8 watts, nearly twice that of this radio. If you don't need the extra power, simply put it on medium and you'll get just a little more that 4 watts. The display on the H6 also is far better than most other Baofengs. So here's a test. Buy two of these, then an H6. Use all three of them for six months, then come back and write your reviews. The H6 and H7 radios are the best radios Baofeng makes.

Q: Does it have a three band antenna that covers US 222-224 mhz?

Asked by BG323249124 on 2022-04-16 09:40:14

Stargater53 The problem with multiple power antennas is that they don't do very well. Lately I've been testing various antennas, and you're not going to want to hear this, but there are only a few antennas that work well with both UHF and VFH, even Nagoya antennas! The only one that gave me outstanding results on both bands is the PRYME AL-800 extendable, and that only when fully extended! My favorite antenna is the Retevis RHD-771. On VHF I got an SWR of 1.01! Wow. But on UHF it was an unimpressive 2.69. Not great at all. But you can receive on both bands, okay. Just don't expect to transmit very well on UHF. Different radios may perform differently. Bottom line, if you're serious, buy an inexpensive Surecom SW-33 meter. But don't think you're going to find one antenna to do it all, even on dual-band. But dang, an SWR of 1.01 is unbeatable. I've only found one antenna to work well on both. To find one antenna to work on four bands, well, it's tilting at windmills! Ain't gonna happen.

Stargater53 Yes,looks like a good radio, but have you actually tried to test the power output of it? I've gotten to the point where I just don't trust Baofeng or Banggood when it comes to product description. It looks like a good radio, but at the price, it's a bargain if it's 10W (8W ). I'm afraid that "under the hood" it's just the same old UV-5R!
