I am surprised! Needed something to inspect ball bearing raceways with. Looking for frosting and fluting. To have that done in a lab costs around ten times the cost for this microscope. There are details down to less than 0.5 micrometers so I didn't expect much. But the prsence og EDM damages can very easily be studied with this cheap little "plastic" device. The light is more than sufficient for my needs - in fact, I use a weaker external lamp for those shiny ball bearing surfaces. My parts are too heavy for the stage, so I made an adjustable support and with that, I can put a 2 kg piece on the stage witout any problems. For me, Performance/Price ratio is more than acceptable. A note on the pictures: The "rainbow colors" are a result of the high resolution, the polished (to the naked eye) surfaces has tiny grinding lines and serve as an optical grating. Hence the "rainbow".

Received as promised. Good packing and nice wooden box to keep them in. Anti-rust wrapping and individual test protocol in every box. Wring together after cleaning an some "wrist polish" which indicates good surface finish. Tested in an old C E Johansson test rig and found no errors. I trust the calibration sheet with its less than half a micron deviations. That is a lot better than I will ever need. The total deviation between one 50 mm and sum of 30+20 mm is around 0.7 um and most of that error is probably in the worn test rig. Very satisfied.

I didn't understand what the postman brought. Didn't expect this router table before April 27th. I like surprises like this! The insert plate was not drilled for any router, so I did the drilling myself. The "Bakelite" plate is very hard and while drilling the holes was a breeze, the countersink operation sent shrapnels all over the room. Good that I put eye protection on. Thich and flat wooden table. Sturdy legs, which screw easily to a work-bench for even better stability. Simple, good. Done some excercise work, which turned out very well. The Makita router, that I use, has lots av intelligent adjustments and settings so this combo is perfect for me. I will mostly use the set-up to produce instrument cases and I really look forward to "revv up production".

Compelled to say "Perfect - as usual" Arrived on date. Took some time to remove all the grease, but good to have it. No trace of rust. Just for fun, I checked measures, parallelity and angles. All within specs. Well within specs, I would say. I will probably go to Banggood for machine parts whenever I need such stuff. But not so satisfied with the Predator 3D-printer. And definitely not satisfied with the way Banggood handled the problem with the control panel. But that is an entirely different matter.

BG372241214 I brought out a better tool to check the gage blocks. Also cleaned anvil and base. It turned out that the sub um tolerances were VERY narrow. Difference between 50 and 20 30 mm combination is actually around 0.30 micrometers. Or 30 nanometers. A tiny fraction of wavelength of red (Na) light. Next step is to get myself a high quality optical flat and look at the moirée pattern. Ridiculous? Yes, but intriguing.

My Predator arrived today, quicker than expected. Nothing broke and complete in all respects. (Difficult to find the screws, but wife helped me search the place. So I have them now). Packaging well though-out and assembly/user manual is high quality with flawless English. Good pictures, too. The components (columns etcetera) are anodized and low friction. If that is of any importance (I think it can be). Due to fast delivery, I will have a problem putting it together immideatly. Which I, of course, don't appreciate. It may be that I re-schedule my week. Knowing me, I'm sure I will - in some way. Mind you, I haven't run it yet. But looks quite promising.
