marekovnica Yesyou can operate it without cable,but i tryed every mentioned way in app,but i found this solution only working : pair it via cable (somewhere near router) ,when it is done change connection settings in smartphone app from cable to wifi (enter your name pass)..After wifi connection established take lan cable out..Power out the camera and place it wherever you want..Turn it up and there we go..Everything have to work as it should =)
