Q: Can it programme Jainpai, RT-490 6 band radio?

Asked by Spencer on 2022-02-01 09:48:57

dave@ratcliffe.org It doesn't program anything. Whether you can program the radio about which you asked is strictly up to the software you are trying to use. There IS a driver for this cable that works with Windows, but you will need programming software as well. CHIRP (free radio programming software) does NOT support the Jainpai RT-490.

Q: Will this model broadcast frequencies on 462.xxx - 467.xxx?

Asked by Steking on 2021-10-23 11:29:47

dave@ratcliffe.org Impossible to tell. UV-5R units sold in the US are, by law, not capable of operating in the FRS and-or GMRS frequencies. Other countries have different requirements. Also, There are older units that have not been modified to comply with US law that may still be in the supply pipeline. So you flip a coin as to which one you'll be getting, but strictly as a guess, one from Banggood MIGHT let you use 462-467.

Q: Do you have these items?

Asked by BG503305785 on 2021-06-12 01:10:23

dave@ratcliffe.org I have one set of these. They are adequate for my uses, although the 20 hour usage claimed is a bit optimistic. I have yet to have them last more that about 12 hours. The audio quality is surprisingly good considering there is a single element producing all of the audio, but it could be a bit louder. Then again, I have diminished hearing after years of using loud headphones in a studio. I think this is a good set.

Q: Is source code included for the arduino?

Asked by BG423784652 on 2021-04-09 05:15:19

dave@ratcliffe.org There is an active group on Facebook where scripts are being introduced, modified, and improved. If you are on FB please join the group "SI4735 SI4732 All Band Radio Receiver User Group". There are people there who are pushing the Nano to it's limits, and modifying code to improve it's performance.
