I bought one in 2017 and worked as expected with the usual WS2812B libraries. A new LED strip ordered in 2018 has a different revision. The chip inside the LED looks different, and when powered it produced strange colors. The 2017 strip was using the most common GRB color encoding, while the new one uses RGB. Please adjust this parameter in the library and it will work as expected. Frequency still at 800hz.

agentsmith Did you test these? I have with chip marked 8233 and just doesn't work, it becomes very hot. Good ones have 223B marking.
