Hello. I have downloaded the software that is indicated in the product page and installed it on Windows 7 Home Edition. After installing the software and the drivers, when I plugged in the unit into the Laptop, the driver linking failed and the software is not recognizing the hardware and there is no reading coming. This is a problem. Is there a solution for this problem? Thank you.

I was needed a signal generator urgently and bought this unit but when I assembled the unit and tested with a supply of 12V, the unit did not work. The frequency was not stable. The Amplitude was not stable and the frequency control pot worked in reverse. I have been in this hobby for over 30 years and I can say this much that I did not make any mistake in the assembly. Maybe there was some problem on this particular board. I have taken out the XR2206 and built another circuit on a Veroboard. That one is working fine. Of course that circuit is much more advanced than this unit.

Got the kit and assembled it without problems. I have been in the hobby for more than 30 years. Power was applied at 9V and everything worked fine. I have tested Crystals upto 12MHz and they were fine. Yet to test the Frequency Counter option with a Signal Generator but do not expect any problems there.
