It works pretty much as expected for the price. It feels solid. I cant really complain for the price, but what you have to be aware of is that you have to put a little effort into clamping it down properly so it doesn't move as you drill. And you also need to figure out the right distances to place it from the edge. Its metal all around so it can easily slide. Both against the surface and against a clamp. Maybe you can put some sticky thin material on it. Haven't tried that. But I use screw clamps. When you tighten those hard it will hold it in place in my experience. Those regular plastic "pump" clamps though, not so much. So I recommend you use screw clamps with it and it will work fine.

Works as expected. Feels of high quality. Solid and heavy base structure. No crappy feeling plastics. You can wiggle the drill bit a little though after you have put it all the way down. But I haven't really noticed it causing a problem in actual reality. If the guide holes were any tighter it might instead be a problem pushing the drill bit through them. Maybe if the guides were longer. But as I said... it doesn't seam to create an actual problem. The actual pocket holes created are consistent enough for me and I'm pretty sure all the other versions also has that little wiggle or even more of it. Because the bushings fit tight around the drill as it is. But if you want to improve it even more in order to make it even more precise then I think the only thing to try out would be to make the bushings/drill guides longer. But that's nothing specific for this version. Because all versions I've seen of this tool have about the same bushing length.

Q: Does "high speed" mean it has the RS-C3 label? Or is it just the normal RS bearing?

PanRider On my pieces are not C3 marking. As I know - I am a Mech. Eng. - the 'C' marking shows the running gap category. The max rpm value You can find in any bearing catalog for Your pieces.

As far as I can see or measure as a hobbyist its straight/perpendicular. And if its not, then its enough for any regular woodworking at least. Or for adjusting a table saw blade to cut perpendicular for example. You are probably not going to machine or plane a car engine with it. If you're looking for that level I simply don't know how straight it is. But to me and the things I do, I have found it completely straight.

Solid heavy piece. Works as expected. It is big and heavy though compared to the regular size specific socket drivers. Just be aware of that. The drill gets front heavy. So I keep it on the side lines until there's a size I dont have a specific socket for or if I need to drive many different sizes in a row. Its more of a "good to have" thing than a necessity.

Great tool when you cant reach a screw properly with your screwdriver. Really, really good to have for those moments. Just don't expect to be able to apply very high torque through it. Then it will twist and bend. Haven't tried to drive a screw through hard wood with it. But its enough to get a screw into some soft wood or plywood for example. At least if there's already a hole for the screw. So for that low price its worth a 5 star rating. I bought 2.

Feels solid. Completely perpendicular. At least as far as I can see or measure and for my woodworking purposes.

Haven't had the time to try it out for real yet, but its very neatly packaged and feels like good quality. The one with wavy surface is a little trickier to clamp. You have to position the clamp a bit more thoughtfully. But at the same time the wavy pattern makes it easier to get a hold of it with your own hand and hold it yourself. Hard to tell which one of them I would prefer. But you really should be able to choose which one you want, which doesn't seem to be the case now.
