mdmbc The one I got looks nothing like the picture, and is die cast junk. It's way too soft to cut steel.

Quality of the machined surfaces is very good. The collets fit and the threads on the nut are smooth and precise. The price is about $30 less than other sites for the same chuck. I have not mounted it yet so no information on runout.

I bought this to go on my A2Z QCTP for a 7" mini lathe. It doesn't fit, but at least the dovetail section is too narrow. I will widen one side with a triangle file to get it to fit. The A2Z QCTP is no longer for sale so this might be the only option for additional tool holders. The quality is good enough thought the dovetail machining isn't as straight as the US made ones.

More4dan It doesn’t. The dovetail is a bit too narrow. I widened mine with a triangle file and it works well.

Quality pics and turning tools. The practice lock is opens way too easy to do any real practice. It opens with picking just one of the pins.

I've measure the OD of the chuck in the lathe and measure less than 0.001" runout. All the machined surfaces are very clean. The threads for the nut feel polished and tight. Great value for the money.
