KKennyY It doesn’t matter as long as they are all the same. The worse that can happen is that they will be out of phase. Some people can tell just by listening. Touch the terminals to a 9v battery and note if the cone moves out or in, and write down which polarity did what. Every other speaker in your system must react in the same way, so if all the other ones move outward if connected plus to plus, or red to plus, (for example), then whatever terminal on your new speaker you had connected to the 9v battery’s plus (+) terminal that caused the diaphragm to move outward in your test, you label it as the positive. (I use a dot of red nail polish). Note of caution: don’t leave the 9v connected to the speaker any more than a split second, because it will become red-hot very quickly. Have your finger on the cone and just quickly touch the connection and determine if the cone moved away from your finger or towards it. (Getting a second opinion never hurts either). Just remember that voice-coil wire is very tiny gauge, and heats up very fast, and will melt the glue or lacquer, and even catch fire within seconds. (I try to find one that has been used and is only putting out 6,7,8 volts ... it only needs to be sufficient to move the cone enough for you to detect if it jumped TOWARD THE MAGNET, or AWAY from it.) this may sound complicated, but it really isn’t; it’s just something that takes a lot of words to describe; re-read it a second time and it probably will make more sense.
