I spent quite some time looking for an 'ideal' pair of tires for a two-wheeled, balancing robot. The center hub for my project had to be compatible with the out-put shaft of a nema-17 stepper motor. Along with the brass inserts that I also purchased from Bangood, made these wheels perfect. I have other tires but none would work well on multiple surfaces. These tires can function on most surfaces. I built pretty much everything r/c since I was ~11yrs. old, and based on the price, quality, and expectations, these are great! I searched for several weeks looking for these. I ordered the first one, upon its arrival, I ordered a second one, as well as the brass inserts. I will create a follow-up post once this project is complete. There is some wiring to do, the fabrication of the actual 'robot', and then it's on to the coding, and I am looking forward to that part of the challenge.

I received exactly what I ordered. I wasn't sure how the tread pattern would be due to the materials used to make the rubber. These tires are perfect! They work well on interior floor, as well as outside. I am building a DIY two-wheel, self-balancing 'robot'. It's an Arduino project that I've been gathering parts for. The wheels being the most difficult due to traction, especially indoors. The composition of the rubber has been the main issue. I'm using nema 17s, which are not designed to respond to slippery wheels, or any other type of setting. The main object of the project is to learn how to use Arduino IDE and other programming options. I was going to use the nema 17s for a small DIY 3d printer, instead I bought a 3d printer. Change gears and make a self-balancing robot to get more expensive with programming. In the end.... If one doesn't have the required parts, then what?

These wheels very soft rubber. Air not retained in tyres so cannot carry weight of robot its meant to carry.... I had to close off tiny holes in the rims to seal off the ambient air in the tyres. I think if your robot is more than 2kg this tyre/wheel is not going to work, without some extra design modification.
