for the price I paid. it feels like a got a huge discount for such a great speaker mic. I’m somewhat new to the amateur radio hobby.

It's ok. Sounds a bit as if you put a speaker in a plastic cup which isn't ideal for a 15€ accesory, but they can't all be winners, eh?
