These LED light strips are really easy to use and control from a micro-controller; just make sure you use a separate power supply and decent line drivers. I am not at all interested in the canned lighting effects, so that component went straight in the bin! The light strips themselves are excellent.

Well packaged and excellent delivery time (10 calendar days from order). I found the built-in static and dynamic effects a bit pointless, but the LED strip itself is pretty good and easy to control from a micro-controller using PWM. I am happy to recommend these LED strips.
