einerlei Thispattern shown on your photo looks like some kind of "real" damascus. In fact it is an industrial high standard knife blade composed of a hard but brittle layer of knife steel in the middle laminated with industrial damascus steel on both sides. In the process of making the blade it is ground through the layers. Then the whole blade is etched. As some components of the blade are more prone to etching this pattern becomes visible. By all means this is as real as it gets. You mistook this with traditional damascus which is much more expensive but not a good as knife steel as this. What you assumed is, that this is the infamous "LASER damascus"-pattern, which in fact isn't the case here.
