The Haiboxing Rampage is a fun little truck! It’s very stable and controllable for a 1/18th scale. The 380 sized brushed motor makes it move pretty fast. The steering servo is relatively quick for it’s size. I like the small, but adequate controller. The controller has minimal features, but does include steering trim, steering reverse, but most importantly a slow/normal switch that is great for kids or beginners. It allows you to tame down the speed for added controllability. The 850mah li-ion battery lasts longer than expected, 10-15 minutes on average. Fortunately the 1100mah li-po for the WL-Toys A9X9 series cars is a direct fit in the HBX Rampage, giving you longer run times and higher speed! You do have to make a small adjustment by removing/reinstalling one screw to move the battery bracket up to accommodate the thicker battery. Another great upgrade would be oil filled shocks to dramatically improve handling and jumping capabilities. Overall the HBX Rampage is an amazing vehicle for all ages and skill levels. It’s also nearly indestructible to boot! Although if you do manage to break it, there are plenty of replacement and upgrade parts available. I highly recommend this truck! 👍👍

Q: is the tire glued to the rim?

Jimberman Yes, they arrived with the tires glued to the rims. They also have foam inside. The rubber compound has plenty of grip for on-road applications. They’re not suitable for drifting. Great tires for the price!

Q: is this to powerfull for a 540 wltoys motor.. will stock esc handle it?!

Jimberman I use this battery in my Wltoys 144001 that has a 540 motor. It fits perfectly and it works great! It goes faster and lasts longer than the stock battery. Although the ESC and motor do get pretty hot. If you go flat out for 10 minutes, the ESC will go into protect mode and shut down. Once it cools off, it works fine. Have fun!
