Q: If you press and hold the set button and then connect to a battery a screen displays different settings, letters P F L and numbers 00 to 17. It is rather cryptic and do not seem to follow any logical pattern. Is there a manual that tells what these settings represent?

Does a nice job magnifying small things. Buggs look scary. Good for seeing splinters and other things stuck in your fingers. It is a fun toy.

A nice small power supply. Output leads plug in at the back rather than in the front, OK if you do not change the connections often but other wise inconvenient. Would have given 5 stars but when the voltage is set at 30 volts and the output is turned on the voltage goes to 24.15 volts. Will not output above 24.15 volts so must be a defective unit. That must be my surprise for the week. Oh Boy!

Small and they work. Fairly accurate, and can be adjusted. Really good for a rough idea of working voltage, similar to a volt meter in a car. Green is not the best color for use in sunlight, yellow is best.
