Q: the connectors have 3 wires. what is the yellow wire used for and where does it connect? Can this device measure a flow and if so, how? thank you

BG542138781 The white connectors are wired to allow the meter to be inserted between a PC power supply and a drive to pick up power. That connector has +5v and +12v - so they need to pass the +12v through. If you're not putting this between an ancient PC power supply and an equally ancient disk drive. Basically ignore the yellow wire.
