Q: is that a m12 lens

Asked by shipwreck on 2020-12-25 10:21:16

ArcherFPV definitely looks like a M12 in the photo. the 2.8mm is the aperture size not the lens thread size

Q: Can I use 2S batteries?

Asked by fujinao on 2021-01-20 05:26:35

ArcherFPV The board can handle 2s however the motors can not. It’s only a 5a esc on the board and the motors are 19,000kv. Too hot for 2s without a throttle cap.

Q: Can these run on 5s without hot motors? (Using 2500 KV)

Asked by BG371213333 on 2020-12-08 11:56:58

ArcherFPV Yes you can. Just watch your PID settings, maybe lower P and D if motors get hot or put a small throttle cap on.

Q: Can I use Sunnysky ***** kv with 30A Simonk ESC on the XL7?

Asked by Jester on 2020-09-21 07:31:49

ArcherFPV You can but I would consider upgrading esc’s soon. For the xl7 build I’m working on I’m using a Flightone H7 flight controller and a hobbywing 60a 4n1 esc. For motors either going to use the brotherhobby 2510 1280kv (5s lipo to match DRL’s racer 4 set up but of course 6s to really push speed.) I’m Also thinking of trying the new emax eco 2 2807’s. The 2212 motors tho will work and work well on a 7” setup but they are dated and may be heavier than newer motors. But personally I would run what I got to start then upgrade from there.

ArcherFPV On newer motors and setup the nut direction doesn’t matter as much as it did back in 2016-17. The older motors like on the 220s yes it mattered. 98% of all bins and fly quads these days only have one direction nuts on the motors. In 3 years of full throttle racing I haven’t lost a nut.

ArcherFPV The shaft diameter means the internal diameter. The shaft on the outside of the motor is a standard shaft for props with 5mm holes.

ArcherFPV Was just about to say the same thing. Now if this one was customized just a little bit with a couple ventilation holes and maybe some connections like a xt60 and xt30 to plug in thru the box to charge a Lipo while it’s in the box would be pretty cool and possibly worth the $47 price.

ArcherFPV Diatone is known for quality quads. The price is actually low to me especially for a 6s capable quad. Most 6s builds can range from $250-$500 or higher.
