The device does not have any lights, the manual refers to light blinking but either are mine broken or this model does not have any. There seems to be at least two of those cameras on the market, one with physical buttons and one without. This here, does not have any buttons. And as far as I know the camera does not record automatically. You need to open the app, connect to the camera, and this is enough for it to start recording. Without opening the app, the camera will not record by itself (I set it to continues recording 24h). I can imagine the version with buttons would be easier in this regard. The iOS app is not very intuitive to use, for instance the settings do not seem to be saved and it is unclear what mode the camera is in. It is called "HDWIFICam Pro". If you are connected the the camera and close the app or your phone suspends, you must re-start the app in order to connect to the camera gain. This is my 2nd order and I received the U11 model this time. While I did get used to the U21 WiFi, I am happy to try the model without. The good part, it always records in FullHD (1920x1080), with the WiFi model I had a lot of issues with the app, since most settings did not really get saved. Hence I am happy to have the more simple U11. Also great is the audio, it is much better than the U21 model I had (I believe it was faulty). Summery: Picture and audio quality are great and it works nicely! Totally recommend it. Excellent delivery time (Banggood Express), faster than expected! Rooms for improvement: * The SD card must be inserted very deeply in order to stick. It be nice to improve on this. * Motion recording works, but it stops after 1 minute and leaves a gap before recording again. It be nice if the motion detection would check for motion before the recording ends and extend the recording by another minute. * Turning the camera off, as described in the manual, does not work, in fact I found no way to turn it off other than unplugging it * I would love to see a smaller case in future versions
