After so much time lost with first Tronxy printer sent by BG another one was all good and operational. But if you don't want to do Z offset calibration quite often I suggest to do the upgrade as I did with hot bed support. See the pictures. Without it hot bed tends to bend and even if you do auto leveling it won't help you. With this support, the auto leveling numbers don't exceed 0.2 mm everywhere on the surface of the hot bed. In general printer is quite good but it struggle with printing ABS without enclosure. I have never tried TPU or PETg. Hot bed takes long time to reach 80 Celsius degrees and it seems to be not enough for ABS. I haven't ever achieved more then 85 Celsius degrees. I am going to upgrade it with heated bed silicon pad for 230V AC and more powerful heater for the hot end to. This printer is doing nice without any upgrades with PLA.

A very sturdy well made unit. I took my time getting everything right. Those mecano sets and model aircraft of my youth proved their worth. It helps if you like building kits. If you do buy one, mine was very good value, you might get to love or hate the boat nuts. I found a good magnet held on the side of the aluminium pulled the nut into the tightening position, so that was invaluable and you soon get the hang of it. The instructions worked for me, I was methodical, taking the components and screws as needed. The wiring layout is a true test of ingenuity. All just about the right length, none too short. I got them all integrated in the frame. I had some spare blue seal so I cut down the back of 2" lengths and put the cable inside it. A true Rolls Royce of a 3D Printer if you build it right. I am in semi retirement in lockdown, it didn't matter to me that it took most of a week to do it. The example printed right first time.

Honestly, being the owner of more than 15 FDM/SLA printers I have come across a very difficult one to explain. The assembly is not difficult at all, but it is laborious. The documentation is clear enough not to be able to complain, in fact this step by step and in each complex step is explained in sub-steps, correct and efficient documentation. The print quality is very good, but it is obviously a bit slower as it is limited by the large volume of printing and infrastructure. As far as electronics is concerned, it is something I do not understand, since it cannot be saved in memory and every time you start a print the Z-Offset parameter. This printer for me has only one flaw and that is that the automatic leveling sensor is raised a few mm above its efficient position, which forces us to correct the Z-Offset if or if. Without this being the biggest problem has an added complication, you have to heat the base and the nozzle before calibrating each time the printer, so if it is not done at first this hot calibration you run the risk of damaging the adhesive sticker of the protective bed. I am an advanced user (more than 6 years in the world of additive manufacturing) I can confirm that doing things at first with a machine that you have never touched is very difficult, Which is why I'm sure you'll damage whether or not the adhesion sticker. I managed to get the hang of the third calibration, i.e. drilling seriously to the metal of the plate with the hot nozzle up to 2 times before knowing how this sensor reacted. I'm releasing my already damaged printer after so much effort to assemble it. For this price I ask that the position of the sensor be updated for future customers, I myself am willing to buy some more to add on my farm. Another thing and this if it is important, this printer once mounted you may not be able to pass it through a door, be careful where you assemble it if you want to move it later.

Quality is good for the money, It prints way betteer than non "pro" version. This is rather a good base for make your own printer. It has good, solid frame. Linear rails are quite good, but need to be cleaned often. The board came with TMS2209 drivers (standalone mode), so the printer is quiet. PSU acrylic case is a joke. The heating-bed does not heats up to 100C. 90C is max after 40 min of waiting. The frame steghtning rods are like joke too. They are have strenght of a paper. Conclusion. Leave the frame, board, maby the PSU and the rails and replace all other parts. But good for the money.

Unfortunately the firmware is not good on this 3D Printer, an update would be appreciated. The printing bed is big and can only be leveled on the front and back with 3 springs, an additional support underneath the center of the bed would be helpful. The auto leveling seems not to work correctly. It only took only 5 hours to assemble the printer, small objects can be printed immediately but to print big objects (that is what a 500x 500 mm printer is for) we needed 5 days of rebuilding and installing new firmware. It is a good printer for the money but don't buy it if you are new to 3D printing and 3D printers. We have 5 pcs of standard Tronxy X5SA-Pro and they all work perfect.

Nice big 3D printer ! Good quality print and speed. BUT be careful the assembly need very good mechanical skills and manual is shit...some building operations have to be reversed otherwise printer could NOT be perfect squared.
