I've been using mounts identical to this one for over five years so I've accumulated a bit of experience with this device. The quality is good and the mounts have held up well in both hot and cold environments. I use them to mount Mobius action cams on the interior of my home windows for security purposes. The suction mounts hold extremely well on window glass as long as the glass and suction cup are cleaned before mounting. Any kind of imperfection or contamination on the glass, such as scratches, chips, paint, glue, etc. will weaken the suction. I dampen the glass and the suction cup with a clean moistened cloth before applying the mount to the glass; this helps you to move the mount around for aiming purposes and helps the suction between glass and cup when you flip the actuator lever to initiate suction. As long as you don't yank on the mount, it should stay attached to the glass for years. Removal is done by simply flipping the actuator lever and the mount comes off the glass surface easily. The only beef I have with the design is it has a limited range of motion that sometimes makes it difficult to aim the camera precisely. All in all it's a pretty good device for the money and has served me well for nearly six years now.
