It is designed to extend the height of a tripod, it's length can be adjusted from 18.7cm to 31cm (add 6-12 inches of adjustable height between the tripod and ball head). It is also compatible with quick release plate for mounting 1/4-hole cameras or other equipment on top. I attached the BlitzWolf led light ring onto this Puluz extension rod. Please note that if your ball head doesn't have a 3/8 thread at it's bottom then you need to use 1/4 to 3/8 inch thread adapters in order to connect this extension rod on camera and also on tripod or stand.
