This device is based on an ESP8266, so it can run various custom firmwares. I opened the enclosure to look for points to connect an FTDI programmer. I did find the points but they are a bit tricky to reach, so in the end I used tuya-convert to flash it OTA which worked beautifully. I flashed ESPHome on it and integrated it with HomeAssistant. Tuya MCU GPIO's are GPIO1 (tx) and GPIO3 (rx). The min and max dimming values are (believe it or not) 257 and 1003. Any values outside that range sets dimming to its lowest value.
