I ordered 2 milling cutters with an 8mm shank. Both cutters are fine with a 7.97mm shank, and the small deviation does not lead to any problems with the collets, nor to wobbling or reduced rotational accuracy - therefore, it's absolutely fine for me. If they would now also offer cutters with a longer shank, I would be super happy ;-). A clear recommendation from my side, as I believe that German brand manufacturers also exhibit such tolerance deviations (I have tested several and found this, but I don't want to have any issues with mentioning the brands, you surely understand).

Habe 2 Fräser mit 8mm Schaft geordert. Beide Fräser sind mit 7,97mm Schaft ok und die kleine Abweichung führt weder zu Problemen mit den Spannzangen, noch zum Taumeln oder reduziertem Rundlauf - daher für mich absolut ok. Wenn man jetzt noch Fräser mit einem längeren Schaft anbieten würde, wäre ich super happy ;-). Eine klare Empfehlung meinerseits, da auch die deutschen Markenhersteller solche Toleranzabweichungen meiner Meinung nach durchaus aufweisen (habe diverse getestet und dort festgestellt, möchte aber keine Probleme bei der Markennennung haben, versteht ihr sicher).
