bought 4 of these for the spare bedroom. they're not as bright as the SMD type, but the light given off is a little bluer - perhaps too "cold" for befroom lighting for some, and the warm white version may be better. gone from 4x20W halogen down to just 10W total - i reckon these will easily pay for themselves within a year (about 280 hours at about 25p/kWh).
