Packaging for the long boat & truck trip from China to U.S. was inadequate. Frame of Gyroscope doesn't appear to be damaged, however doesn't perform anywhere near what one should. Bearing surfaces are rough & no matter how hard you pull on string to get maximum RPMs it slows down rapidly. I sprayed bearing surfaces with light oil & it helped a lot but still will not spin at speed long enough to be a practical teaching toy. Can only get about 15sec of gyroscopic action at best. I ordered remembering the one I had as a child & this purchase has been a disappointment, the only one of all the BangGood items I have previously ordered. Richard
