Recieved my printer 2 days earlier than expected in great physical condition all parts were nicely package and labeled. Assembly of the printer was very simple compared to many kits you can buy around the same price. Assembly time was roughly an hour in my case. I'd suggest looking up the assembly guide video on YouTube although Creality does provide it on a 8GB micro SD they provide. First print went great although I ran out of the provide filament and couldn't finish the provided cat.gcode.

The Ender-2 is a small but solid machine. It prints reliably fast and gives quality prints right after assembly. Highly recommend this machine both as a first or additional printer!

This is my first 3D printer, and it really exceeds my expectations. Easy to asseble with help from the video on the SD-card (you can also find the video on Youtube). Easy to get really nice prints. I have only had it for a couple of days, but have printed spinners, guitar picks, razor accessories and lithophanes with great success (PLA-filament). The only thing to be aware of is the placement of the filament holder. If you use 1 kg rolls of filament, I think it is better to put the roll on the side of the printer as it tends to tilt because of the weight. I just use a cardboard box with a rod.

i looked around for ages, before buying my first 3D printer, and i was so glad that this lived up to its other reviews, the print quality on PLA is awesome, and i am only printing in my mid settings ( speed v quality) that said, go careful on the build, make sure each step has the components square and at 90 degrees, a little time spent here, pays back later, take care routing the wires, i use curer 2.6.2 and works well for me, learn what all the settings do in you chosen slicer program, small changes here can have effect to the final print, overall though i havent seen a better print off any thing untill the price gets past treble to five times what this cost, also look after your reels of filament when they are not in use, put them in a sealed container with some dessicant to stop them from absorbing moisture, as sometimes the print quality if you just leave the rolls out.

Works great. Setup took an hour. Printed 2mm spacer for the z motor from thingverse. Look up "Calibrate your 3D printer! - A tutorial for the ENDER 3D printer" by NoLimits3D (not me) on YouTube for the Cura settings in the video description. First link, and 5th download on the page that opens. Import in Cura using Preferences>Profiles>Import. Create different layer thicknesses by copying and editing the .ini in notepad (not wordpad). Rename for the thickness and printer.

This is not a silent printer as one might expect from the ads. for it. It is not terribly loud but you dont want to sleep in the next room while it is running. Mechanically an OK printer, but the biggest con. is that there is not a firmware included with the printer, and the manufacturer wont supply one (It is running Marlin, however I have never seen this motherboard before so I don't know how to setup my own firmware) The extruder could be better, (I always have troubles with the gearhead drive wheels this printer uses). It should be easy to fix if one had the firmware to change the E-steps for another wheel.

I wish I bought one sooner because when you install a blower fan and print the needed duct, it pints almost perfect and the heated bed is perfect to keep the prints sucessful. Small issues with requiring four M3 or M4 washers to straighten the x-axis 20x20 arm and to straighten z-axis motor so it doesn't bind. Overall too minor to call it a con since its more of a DIY printer, what matters is that its all there, and with some research for build upgrades, and fixing the small issues it becomes less of a oversight, which is halve the fun for me.

Come on, it looks like a cute robot from a 60's tv show or movie. I expected to do some tuning on this unit and not have instant gratification and you should also. Make sure the print bed is on tight and it's belt tension is good. One of the bed wheels on mine has a tiny imperfection that makes the bed move ever so slightly. If the bed is not on tight you will be spinning your wheels trying to do that 3 point bed leveling. On that note...... It's the worst thing about this unit by far. Those 3 points make a scalene triangle. When you set the bed for one point other parts of the bed are affected. AAARG!!! I don't want to solve a puzzle every now and then, especially if I need something printed asap. Maybe there is a better procedure I have not found. Something that says 'when you tighten wheel X loosen wheel Y half what you turned for X and tighten wheel Z one quarter what you turned for X.
