The pad came folded in half, but hadn't taken any damage from being folded. It lay down flat on the table with no visible crease. There are shallow rooms along the upper and left side for placing small items, and a 20 cm ruler with millimetre markings between the work area and the upper pockets. The pad is about 3-4 mm thick in the work area, which seems ample to protect any underlying surface from the heat of soldering. The silicone material makes the pad stick quite well to the table surface. The quality seems very good, especially when considering the price. The only downside to this pad so far is that it smells a bit of solvent. I feel fairly confident that this issue will go away if the pad is left in the open air for some time. All in all this product is very good value for money. I would recommend it.

Yngel Thesolvent smell disappeared after a few weeks. I left it outside for a period of time to let it air. Excellent quality, I've been using it a lot since I bought it. Recommended.
