It's a really simple unit and i will use it for an auto counting piggy bank with an arduino and an e-ink display type project. It sends out pulses depending on what value of the coin so if you put something like a 1Euro coin in it will pulse once. It's really up to how you set it up since you can teach it how many pulses each coin will get and solve the rest in what ever micro controller you hook up to it and count the pulses with.
