Aluminium looks a bit like plastic, and at least on Mac is much slower than, for example, https://www.banggood.com/Eaget-F70-USB-3_0-128GB-Metal-USB-Flash-Drive-U-Disk-Pen-Drive-360-Degree-Rotation-p-1355259.html (I just ordered another of these, they are really good). The only 'good' thing is the led light, but that's not the most important thing in a flash memory.
