This is useful to have your phone facing you at an angle so you can read any notifications without having to lean over it when it's lying flat on your desk, or having to pick it up. It's stable enough that you can use apps when the phone is sitting in it. There's no wireless charger but you shouldn't be constantly charging your phone anyway. The build quality is more then adequate with a nice simple mechanism that gives you the option to have your phone at an angle that suits you. It also folds flat so you can easily take it with you when/if you're travelling in the provided soft pouch that comes with it.
