Couldn't find the charging indicator led at first, but it is the transparent/white ring around the silver button on top (hard to see it in daylight). Brightness is good. Managed to use my bicycle in complete darkness and didn't run into anything. The front is a bit heavier than the back, so when driving on cobblestone you have to screw the bracket on pretty tight.
