Works well even with rechargeable cells. Has a clear display. Possibly because I am old I have to make sure my hands are warm (looking pink not white). Look carefully at the polarity signs in the battery compartment as they are not too obvious and not intuitive. Attractive price.

The display is smaller than in the photo, and so seems normal, you can see everything clearly. The display is turned over when the power button is pressed.
