Solid metal stand. Not made from flimsy bendy plastic, and holds microscope firmly and hence picture is not shakey, unlike cheaper copies! Can be powered from an inexpensive 1Àmp power bank, as seen in photos, and for a long time on one charge. Plenty room to access PCB, as shown. Inbuilt lights do cause reflections on shiney board, but we just want to see what we are doing, and not entering some photo competition. Personally I prefer inbuilt lights, to the more expensive option of the gangly lights on stalks, which just get in the way of soldering irons, hands etc. This device is streets ahead of magnifying glass, or jewellers eyeglasses etc., and makes working so much faster.
