Reading the specification one could think a 18650 battery is included but it is not, that's also not stated under 'Package included' but misleading. @banggood: please clarify this point in the specification. For sure i didn't really expect 2000LM but something in the range. I don't even nearly understand why (including this specification) also nearly ALL comparable competitors are cheating in a similar way, that's simply humbug and not necessary at all. I found a description of the XM-L LED chip here: This document states a max possible output of 1000 lumens at 3000 mA and 692 lm at 2000mA for the T6 group. I'm using a BASEN 18650 without protection which is able to deliver far more than the power needed and it seems to me that the output is about the ~700 lm at ~2000mA stated in XLampXML-11E.pdf. Compared with another lamp i own which is stated to 800 lm this also seems plausible having both lamps zoomed to the same extent. If the lamp is switched on it starts in the mode full on. If the button is tapped to shortly break the power the mode is switched. This approach is the best i know because normally 'i just want to have light' and i don't want to be disturbed by some 'strange' modes. But if it's possible besides this 'normal operation' to have different modes like with this lamp that's great! Just looking at my subjectiv impression (and not at the numbers) the lamp is really bright enough for normal use. It has an impressive zoom and the mode switching is made really clever.
