The an8008 is a compact and accurate meter available for a reasonable price. The continuity test is slow with the included leads but is fast with my brymen leads. The backlight will turn off after 2 minutes. The meter has an auto off function: if you don't touch the controls for 15 minutes the meter will beep 3 times, then after a minute it will beep again and then turn off. If you hold the SELECT button while turning the meter on, the auto off function will be disabled (but the meter will still beep every 15 minutes). The meter uses 3.6x10 mm cartridge fuses of this rating: 200m/250V 10A/250V
