We ordered this to use in detailing our cars and for any small spills that we wouldn't want to pull the upright carpet cleaner out for. We haven't tested it on home carpet but I am very happy with the results on automotive carpeting. The small form factor of the vacuum makes it easy to move around and the different attachments have met all our needs for access to tight areas. Despite its small size, it delivers excellent power extracting dirt and water easily. Everything needed is included with the cleaner, even cleaning solution. The only other item you may want is a mechanical agitator to lift any heavy soil areas or on rubber floormats.
