    I used a DIY Laser Power Meter to do a quick test upon receipt of the Laser. A quick measurement showed 4200mW (4.2 Watts at the meter) output based on the calibration of the Meter I built and calibrated. With further testing it may output a higher value reading. The power output was set by an Eleksmaker Mana SE board and Eleksmaker Evolution Desktop CAM 3.1. It took a long time to get this to the USA. ( 1 month )

    I am very pleased with this laser. I have mounted it to a MPCNC machine and I have so far engraved photographs on plywood and cut out some intricate parts from 2mm grayboard. It easily cut through 3mm plywood (3 / 4 passes) which is the furthest I've pushed it so far.

    Well made and it works! Hooked it up with grbl running on Arduino Uno using PWM to this laser from pin D11. Used UGS to send G-Code to grbl. I mounted this on my Sherline CNC mill with a 3D printed mounting bracket. I used Vectric to create the artwork - and made the Z axis moves to zero so only the x, y moves with the profile cut on the line.

    I have this rigged up to a thrown together cnc machine with 4 steppers and 4 tb6600 stepper drivers hooked up to an arduino mega running with grbl and now with this 5W laser engraving module. I wish there were instructions or google searches with people who did this more but there are not. so here's some tips. I found if I put the dangly cable where the power is coming in from connected to the ground on the arduino and the + on the ttl/pwn thing on the right part it works, after doing the $32 enable

    I've bought this for my MPCNC engraver. I use it for cutting 3mm plywood and etching foamboard. Unfortunately, it can not cut foamboard without burning foam inside a sheet. I have no possibility to measure power, but it's definitely more powerful than 2,5W laser, which I bought earlier. And having a controller module is a huge advantage, it can be connected directly to an Arduino's PWM output.

    Good module for my laser etcher/cutter

    I had an 2500mw version before (measuring 1.5A draw on the driver, so would be 1.5 watt?). 3mm poplar plywood took me 6 passes at 180mm/min (3cm / min in total) to cut. Now with the 5W module, i need 2 passes at 240mm/min, so 12cm/min in total, to cut! Good improvement, now to see what the lifetime of this module will be :)
