Used a portion of this as I wasnt really sure about the black rubber. The rubber melts differently on this guard than on the original transluscent white from Festool. It leaves a bit of fuzz, but after using it a few more times it all goes away and leaves a crisp edge. The biggest fear was not be able to read black pencil marks against it, this is not a problem in daytime or under well lit conditions, but I might revert back to translucent because of this. The glue on them is great so far, no peeling, no shifting and the tracks have been indoors, but at very low temperatures (so far -3 celcius) with no apparent negative effect. Time will tell how they behave under warmer conditions in the summer.
