When I ordered this device, I did not realize how much a magnification of even 30 was! And this goes all the way up to 60. When using the small, most powerful lens, you almost exclusively have to rely on the 3rd built-in LED, as you are really close to the object. The blue/UV LED Actually does work on various notes, helping you to spot counterfeit money, but it works best at rather low ambient light. This loupe is awesome. The large lens is 30x and the smaller can be rotated between 45x and 60x. On the end of the lens pull out is a white LED on one side and UV LED on the other. I haven't tested the effectiveness of the UV LED yet. I bought this to inspect the diamond in my engagement ring and it's perfect for this. I want to be sure my diamond and the setting are always in good shape so now I'll be able to inspect it magnified!

I like it. I would buy another if I ever needed one. The black light LED isn't as good as it says it is though... I wouldn't buy it for that feature alone.
