The device is in place and the green LED is glowing, so I can only presume the device is working, but as I only receive power bills quarterly it will take two or three quarters to find out if the device is saving power and therefore value for money.

I love these little gimmick products. They may not do anything but they're still cute and fun to take apart. After reassembly I plugged it in with the refrigerator. I'll let you all know if it actually saves any power.

This has been advised as a AC line cleaner. I am going to open it to see what it is it is supposed to do. What can go wrong? I still don't know how it is working, or if it even does work?

I don't know how it could help saving power but I see that it helps with the low tension caused by the A/C compressor starting. I hope it helps preventing other electronics from suffering from those spikes.
