Nice, works well, noise fine, powerful enough. Not sure if it takes non SDS bits: I dont think so but don't care, as I have heaps of SDS bits. Flexible measuring guide doesn't move in holder. Bit turns without much wobble. Overall highly recommended. Then again, I haven't used a real Makita. But I own another two hammer drills and this is as good as my cheapy Ryobi.
