    Znakomicie nadaje się do wstępnego ostrzenia dłut i noży strugów. Noże kuchenne, w zasadzie nie potrzeba już dalej obrabiać, choć można jeszcze wygładzić. Bardzo agresywnie bierze.

    This diamond stone is of very good quality, seems durable and heavy, despite it's thin. The rubber on the bottom side is a nice addition, prevents slipping while you are sharpening. As you know you should break in the stone to remove the larger pieces of diamond, preferably with a old knife, not with one of your expensive blades. The grit is nowhere near a 400, feels and looks more like a 200-240, but it's ok for sharpening dull knifes or slight re-profiling.

    I play with knives a lot, and I have many expensive diamond hones. (Smiths/dia-sharp etc) This 400 grit and the 1000 grit I bought at the same time are my go-to favorites. Thick, stout metal with a foam backing make the easy to hold, but it would be good to glue them to a slab of cedar to give a better grip, or even glue them back to back, which is what I will most likely do. The honeycomb pattern in now way interferes with a smooth draw, unlike the way the smiths diamond pattern grabs the edge as it moves. I have used them both many times and there is zero evidence of surface wear or grit loss. I am certainly going to order the 600 and 1200 grit stones as well. Amazing quality and finish. Rather surprising.

    in combination with a 1000 grit this 400grit is a relatively good choice for your cutting tools. For the Masterchef kitchen knife though you need finer grit than 1000 :-)
