Nice big roll of Kapton tape, I'm for the most part using small pieces but I wanted to have more for less money so the big roll it is. I've got it to melt pretty easy with an induction heater coil that I made myself and putting the metal pan directly on the Kapton tape did melt the tape quite fast but it managed to save the coil even with the too high temperature, however it's very useful for many different electronic applications, it's a very good isolator.

Tape looks ok, adhesive is strong. Regarding temperature resistance, I found that at 240 deg C it starts to loose its properties and melt, so 20 deg below the spec. Starting at about 180 deg C there is some outgassing of its volatile compounds, judging by the odour, which of course intensifies as we get close to the melting temperature.
