My first board didn't work. It was my own fault as I had connected the power transistor to a heat sink which itself was connected to the chassis. After switching on I realised I had shorted the transistor. Unfortunately you cannot buy these separately so I just bought another kit. At this price it was worth it. Great kit.

MikeNovo Any electronics part can be replaced. You can buy a D1047 transistor on ebay. About $1 each. Made in China. Where do you think they got them. Great starter kit BTW
